Mosaic

The beauty of a mosaic lies in the symphony of its fragments. In the same way, this table brings together different types of wood through an interplay of grain patterns, where the distinction between the legs and the tabletop blends into a single, continuous surface. The interlocking system transforms the leg reinforcement structure into a distinctive feature enhanced by the color and richness of the teak; in this way, the two wood species also come together in the tabletop’s construction. The two planks at the ends of the tabletop are oriented perpendicular to the grain direction of the others, creating a “breadboard” pattern that is ideal both for dimensional stability and for continuing the rhythmic alternation of the table’s various elements.

Wave

Instead of assembling components to build this bench, the construction process involves carving away material from a single log of Lebanese cedar. A CNC milling machine sculpts the log, revealing the desired structure. The tree’s essence remains within the single block of cedar from which Onda is born. Its memory reemerges as negative space in the curves of its structure, creating a wave in the wood that subsides only in the gentle curve of the seat, ready to welcome us into a moment of tranquility. The structure is defined by the removal of volume rather than by assembly, making the tree’s presence tangible in the bench.
